Leaking lead main beneath a concrete floor
Running-water noises in the kitchen led to a split incoming lead pipe beneath the floor. We opened the concrete, repaired the pipe and reinstated the floor. We also recommended replacing the remaining lead supply and explained the extra planning needed for its shared connection with neighbouring houses.
Shower temperature fault repaired
The temperature on this rear-fed shower kept fluctuating. We identified a failed thermostatic cartridge and replaced it. The photos show the shower controls and the cartridge exposed during the repair.

A close-coupled toilet installation and two different plumbing faults repaired in Reddish.
Toilet with integrated hand basin fitted
An older standard toilet was replaced with a close-coupled unit incorporating a hand basin. We adjusted the pipework and tested the installation on completion. The photo shows the fitted toilet.
No hot water from an open-vented cylinder
A loose connection had overheated and damaged the wiring and thermostat. We replaced both damaged components. The photo shows the heat damage found during inspection.
Rodent-damaged water main repaired
Rodents had damaged the incoming water pipe. We cut out the affected section and replaced it. The close-up shows the damage to the old blue pipe.
